CMAT Tribhuvan University Syllabus

CMAT is central management aptitude Entrance test taken by Tribhuvan University. Every student who want to start BBA/BIM/BHM/BTTM Programme in colleges affiliated to  Tribhuvan University must pass the CMAT entrance test conducted by Faculty of Management of TU.  Applicants must get minimum score 40 out of 100 in order to pass CMAT test. After that interview is conducted for shortlisted applicant for selection of in respective B-school. Students must have minimum of 45% marks at +2 inorder to appear for CMAT entrance test.  The standard pattern for CMAT include mainly four section. That is Verbal Ability, Quantitative  Ability, Logical Reasoning and General Awareness.  Twenty five (25) questions containing twenty five mark (25)  is equally distributed in these four section of CMAT where full mark is hundred (100).

 

 

Syllabus for CMAT:

 

The CMAT follows the standard testing pattern and include:

Verbal Ability

Verbal ability section consists of 25 questions that test the applicant in topics like:

Synonyms Sentence (Fill in the blanks)
Antonyms Passage (fill in the blanks)
Prepositions Comprehension passage and questions
Idioms and phrases

 

Quantitative Ability

Quantitative ability section consists of 25 questions that test mathematical aptitude of applicant in topics like:

Sets and Number System Statistics
Integers Probability
Functions and graph General section of algebra
Sequence and series Permutation and combination
Simple interest/compound interest/ population growth and depreciation Indices
Profit and loss, discount, commission, vat and tax Linear equation
Matrices and determinant Menstruation
General section of arithmetic Averages
Ratio and proportion Co-ordinate geometry
logarithm/exponents, speed, distance and time Inequality
Polynomial equation Percentage, unitary method and time and work
Age and digit

 

Logical Reasoning

Logical reasoning section consists of 25 questions that test the thinking ability of ability of applicants through topics like:

Series test Cooding and Decoding
Missing number test Ranking
Blood relation Direction test
Odd man out Similar relationship
Venn diagram Problem figures
Thematic test Miscellaneous

 

General Awareness

General Awareness section  consists  consists of 25 questions that test the intelligence level of applicants in topics like:

Politics Mythology
History of Nepal Word history
Geography and population Economics and finance
Science and technology International institutions
Sports Language, arts and culture
Book and authors International day’s celebration
Various institutions in Nepal Famous quotes
Inventions and Discovery Miscellaneous
